A wonderful Australian ghost story.
I first read this back in 1999 and it has sat on my shelf for 17 years until I picked it up again last week after reading a review on Goodreads. I had forgotten how much i enjoyed it, and enough time had passed so that it was kind of familiar but still kept me guessing to the end.
A book about books, loving books, collecting books, saving books and working with books. Throw in a small village in Scotland, some quirky characters and a healthy dash of romance and what could be better?! I loved every page...and now I want to go and buy a van!
