I first read this in 1993 and it's one of those books that haunts you until you reread it... and reread it again. It still touches my heart each time I delve back in.
The idea of living near a lighthouse enthrals me and I also love the stained glass art aspect of the novel. Being somewhat arty myself I always enjoy art related stories and stained glass is something I long to try.
The story moves along at a fast pace and there is never a page where you wonder if you could be doing something else. The characters are likeable and believable and I actually could see myself being friends with them.
All in all Keeper of the Light is a great read, and stands the test of time. I am happily reading Kiss River now, meeting some of those original characters 10 years on and seeing what life has brought them.
