So far this month I have managed to get through 7 books! I know, I have no life...but anyway here are my reviews for the month so far. Most are NetGalley ARCs and I thank them most sincerely for the opportunities they give me to read such amazing stories.

Here we go:

Everything Is Lies: Helen Callaghan Great book! I listened to the audio and found myself turning it on more often than the usual commute home from work. It became the soundtrack to my days as I cooked dinner, loaded the dishwasher and by the end I was even putting my make up on with its accompaniment. A riveting story with a few surprises along the way, it explores the entrapment of a cult and how it affected the rest of its members lives. The notebook sections were fascinating. Her Name Was Rose: Claire Allan A thought provoking look into the lies we share with the world. Life is sometimes not the way we promote it to others. Obsessive love with its tangled, thorny roots can damage and ruin the best of us. Keep You Safe: Rona Halsal

(Originally titled Guilty Little Secrets as shown in the photo) This had me on the edge of my seat! I was enraged at the injustice, heartsick at the heroine’s plight and utterly engrossed in the unfolding story. I literally could not put it down. #NetGalley The Killed Conscience: Jordan Antonacci A chilling tale of a serial killer, set in a cabin the woods, and featuring friendships that last through the test of time. I worked it out quite early on but so desperately wanted to be wrong. I loved this story despite the superfluous character of the abusive boyfriend who, thankfully, didn’t last the distance. The Sunday Girl: Pip Drysdale A tense thriller which makes you think of the consequences of all the little choices that you make each day. What if you had done this instead of that? Moved on and not sought revenge? How things might have been different. Lies: T M Logan A chilling thriller with a final twist that I did not see coming. The story moved at a gripping pace and revealed little clues along the way that all came together in the final moments. Believable characters made it an agonizing read as circumstances spiraled out of control and left me breathless. Thanks to #NetGalley for this ARC. No Place Like Home: Rebecca Muddiman I am really not sure how I feel about this book. Everything I thought I understood was turned on its head by the end. Great writing and very well done. An unusual story to say the least. #NetGalley
